Participant
Participants respond to questions, revise their own responses, follow material shared with the group, and communicate privately with the moderator or assistant.
Connecting
Enter the moderator’s account identifier and your participant name or email. A moderator may use group numbers or other names instead of email addresses. Enter a password when the moderator’s session requires one. If the moderator has connected but has not started the session, remain on the waiting screen; admission occurs automatically when the session begins.
Responding
The Live Session tab displays the current question and whether responses are open. Write your response and send it. Your answer remains editable: changing it and sending again creates a revision rather than a second participant identity. Use Latest Response to focus on your current answer to the question and All Responses when you need to revisit its revision history.
Following a multi-question discussion
Questions may build on one another. The full-session view lets you revisit earlier questions and your responses so a follow-up is not separated from its context. Shared responses appear only when the moderator enables them. If anonymous sharing is enabled, the ideas are shown without participant names.
Messages
Use Messages to ask the moderator a private question without interrupting the group. Replies from the moderator or an authorized assistant appear in the same conversation history. Public messages and LLM summaries appear separately, and the latest-message strip alerts you when something new arrives while you work on the Live Session tab.
Example: contributing to a brainstorm
The moderator asks, “What is one change that would make this process easier?” Everyone enters an idea before the verbal discussion begins. You can revise your suggestion if you think of a clearer version. The moderator shares a synthesis showing recurring themes and distinctive proposals. The group then discusses the organized set of ideas rather than only the contributions of the fastest speakers.
When a session ends
The screen indicates that the activity has ended and may wait for the moderator’s next session. Your role does not include permanent history or file export. If you need a record, follow the moderator’s instructions for materials shared with the group.
